KPA and Community of Purpose – A force for good!
With two of the Directors of KPA Property hailing from London, Bristol is a constant pleasant surprise. We love Bristol, it has really crept under our skin over the years. It’s a friendly place of acceptance, a community of very different people, from very different backgrounds, coming together and learning from each other. It’s a place where people still stop and talk to strangers on the street and where, if you were to ask directions, the chances are that someone would stop what they were doing and take you there. A better Bristol comes from a willingness to change, to learn and to grow together. It starts with an open heart and ears ready to listen and for good people to roll up their sleeves and get involved…together!
KPA are constantly looking for ways in which their business and a better Bristol can co-exist and have, over the years, enjoyed some successful partnerships with non-profit organisations and forces for good, in this wonderful city of ours.
Bristol’s homeless and child poverty issues are things that, in a thriving and financially buoyant city like Bristol, there should be no place for and its anathema to us that they exist, but, sadly, they do. We know that we can only play a very small part in the grand scheme of things, but it is something that the whole team are really passionate about and something that unites us all.
Individuals can make a huge difference, don’t underestimate this. The challenge is in choosing the right vehicles for your time and energy. When you do find them and you find like-minded individuals to work alongside, amazing things can be achieved – to be in a position to make a real difference, in a city that you call home, now that’s what we call a win win!
It is therefore with great pleasure and pride that we would like to announce that KPA are supporting a local Bristol not-for-profit, Community of Purpose CIC.
Community of Purpose transforms the lives and futures of young people through businesses that act as a force for good.
One of the programmes they deliver is ‘Break Free’, a holiday activity programme that targets holiday hunger, by providing high-quality activities and free food for young people aged 8 – 13 across areas with the most need in South Bristol.
We are supporting the programme, but CIC need further help! We’re looking for other like-minded purpose-driven businesses to join us and the team @commofpurpose to be a real force for good, in our amazing city!
